Lebanon approves $57,652 supplemental design task order to protect MoDOT sidewalk grant
Summary
The council approved a supplemental task order with Toth & Associates not to exceed $57,652 to finish design work for Beck Lane and Ivy Lane sidewalks so the city retains MoDOT grant eligibility; roughly 4,792 feet will be the federally funded segment and the remainder will be city-built.

Lebanon City Council on Monday approved a supplemental task order with Toth & Associates to complete design work required to maintain Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) grant eligibility for Beck Lane and Ivy Lane sidewalk improvements.
Tammy, the project presenter, told the council that original plans from 2022 covered about 9,300 linear feet but the federally funded portion has been narrowed to roughly 4,792 feet (from Ice Cream Way to just past Linda Circle). She said required design tasks are $32,652 and contingency/design support tasks total $25,000, for a combined not-to-exceed amount of $57,652.
"This is required work that we have to have, to maintain the grant eligibility," Tammy said, adding staff expects to put the federally funded segment out to bid in December and return to the council in February for a possible construction award. She also said the city will perform the non-grant portion in-house, covering about half the linear footage.
Council members approved the ordinance on roll call; the clerk recorded council bill 69-47 as becoming ordinance 71 89. Tammy said staff will complete easement and design documents, advertise the federally funded work for competitive bids and continue to manage the non-grant portion with city crews.
Next steps include finalizing design documents and easements, bidding the federally funded segment in December, and a planned return to council in February for an award decision.
