Commission OKs ordinances to move code-enforcement and animal-control appeals to special magistrate

Staff presented two related ordinance amendments to transition local appeals boards to special magistrates. The second would amend Chapter 6 to transition the Animal Control Appeals Board to a special magistrate.
Staff said both ordinances change portions of the code to allow for the transition; both items were moved, seconded and approved by the board without public opposition recorded on the record.
The changes will alter how appeals are heard and the board directed staff to process the ordinances and associated administrative changes.
