Paris Council removes Sub‑Zone 4 from TIRZ No. 1 to free up development incentives

The council opened a public hearing, received no public testimony, and after brief remarks expressing appreciation for the TIRZ board’s work, an unidentified council member moved to approve the ordinance. After a second, the council approved the ordinance by voice vote, motion carries 5–0.
The ordinance as presented would update the TIRZ boundaries by deleting Sub‑Zone 4. Staff said the change is not expected to cause significant detriment to the TIRZ as currently constituted and recommended adoption.
