The Government Operations Committee approved a massage license for Impact Massage Therapy on Aug. 24 after the Liquor Commission earlier recommended approval. Chief Blikens presented the recommendation and noted the owner, Sarah Carter, has about 17 years in the massage industry and recently opened the business at 2000 West Main. Council moved and approved the license by roll call.
The committee recorded unanimous assent on the motion to accept the Liquor Commission recommendation and approve the application. The license approval will allow Impact Massage Therapy to operate pending any final administrative steps required by licensing staff.
