The Planning Board heard an informational presentation Dec. 8 (Job 2025‑002BW) from Art of Form Architectural Services on behalf of an industrial occupant seeking permission to construct barbed wire fencing around a parking lot and to legally maintain outdoor storage of vehicles.
Raymond Caliendo of Art of Form and project manager James Gentilesco said the occupant has experienced repeated vandalism and break‑ins to vehicles and temporary outdoor storage. Caliendo said police reports documenting incidents were ordered and some supporting documentation was included in the application; the applicant said it may take months to obtain full police records but that incident summaries were part of the submittal.
The applicant showed a site tracing of the proposed fence line. When asked about fence height, the applicant said the fence would be 5 feet tall with 1 foot of barbed wire (6 feet total). Board members asked whether neighboring properties experienced similar vandalism or used barbed wire; the applicant said they were not aware of neighbors having the same issue and attributed the targeting to visible temporary storage and company vehicles with valuable contents.
The chair moved to close the informational hearing and reserve decision (motion by Dan; second by Juan). The board voice‑voted 'Aye' and closed the hearing with decision reserved. The applicant was encouraged to submit police reports and supporting evidence to become part of the record.
