The Apache Junction Parks and Recreation Commission elected Heather Moller as chair and Felicia Madrid as vice chair during its Dec. 3, 2025 meeting. The nominations and roll-call votes to close nominations and to approve both officers passed with the commissioners present voting in the affirmative; Commissioner Frank Schambach was recorded as excused.
The commission then voted to schedule its next regular meeting for Feb. 4, 2026, at 6 p.m. in the City Council Chambers at 300 East Superstition Boulevard. The motion to set meeting date, time and place was moved, seconded and approved by roll call.
Commissioners thanked outgoing officers and welcomed the new leadership. Speaker 8 congratulated the newly elected officers, saying, "Way to be so efficient and congratulations to our chair and our vice chair." The meeting adjourned at 6:45 p.m.
