Council recommends state approval for Hitching Post Saloon liquor license
Summary
After staff reported inspections were in compliance, the council unanimously recommended the Arizona Department of Liquor Licenses and Control approve a Series 6 bar liquor license for the Hitching Post Saloon at 2341 N. Apache Trail.
The Apache Junction City Council unanimously voted on Dec. 2 to recommend approval of a new Series 6 bar liquor license for the Hitching Post Saloon, located at 2341 North Apache Trail.
The clerk briefed the council that the application had been received and routed through the city’s liquor department and clerk’s office, with inspection responses from the Apache Junction Police Department, Development Services and Superstition Fire confirming compliance with inspection requirements. The council opened a public hearing, heard no speakers, and then voted to recommend the application to the Arizona Department of Liquor Licenses and Control.
The recommendation is advisory to the state licensing authority; the state will make the final licensing decision.
