The Homestead City Council approved a first reading of an ordinance to amend city budgets for the fiscal year beginning Oct. 1, 2025, and ending Sept. 30, 2026, increasing budgeted revenues and expenditures by $23,022,895. Staff said the change rolls forward previously budgeted but unspent funds from the prior fiscal year rather than creating new revenue.

Council moved and approved the first reading by roll call. The ordinance will return for additional consideration as required for adoption.
