Council approves routine appointments, fund boards and accepts notice of NatureWorks grant

Council approved several routine appointments and annual fund board submissions during its Dec. 15 meeting. Joe Kimball was reappointed to the Williams County Port Authority for an additional eight‑year term. AJ Novacek was appointed to a six‑year term on the Planning & Zoning Commission beginning Jan. 1. Bruce Siders was recommended and approved for appointment to the Civil Service Commission to replace a departing member.
Council also approved annual submissions for the fire department fund and the police dependency fund to remain in compliance with state requirements. In other announcements, Ben told council that the Ohio Department of Natural Resources selected Williams County as a recipient of a NatureWorks grant; the packet listed the county share from the state at $23,128 to be applied toward a pavilion at Lincoln Park, though staff said the formal grant agreement had not yet been received.
All routine appointments and fund approvals were moved, seconded and approved by roll call.
