At its Dec. 15 meeting the Silver Consolidated Board of Education approved the consent agenda, which included checks written in November totaling $3,274,545.24 and several budget adjustments.

Director of finance Michelle McCain asked the board to accept three budget adjustments: $402,221 to correct/add funds for CLSD salaries and purchases; a $48,265 library Go Bond award to be used by school libraries to buy books and equipment; and budget cleanup items related to the closing mental‑health grant. McCain said the additional CLSD funds are "more than enough" to cover the remainder of the grant year. The board also accepted three $500 donations to the Silver High girls basketball program from Wachiku, First American Bank and Silver City Dental.

A motion to approve the consent agenda was made and seconded; the board approved the motion by voice vote. Board members asked whether the $402,221 would carry through the end of the grant year and McCain confirmed it would.
