The Rosenbauer option presented would allow the town to save roughly $73,000 through an upfront payment discount but requires a 100% prepayment and carries an estimated build time of about 660 days. The board—s motion authorized the purchase pending final contract review to resolve warranty, liability, and delivery terms.
Select Board members discussed operational differences and confirmed the purchase replaces the town—s 2009 Pierce engine. Staff said that, if approved, the town will have a 30-day period after signing to complete legal review and confirm terms.
