Principal Felipe Carranza and Assistant Principal Brandon Witherspoon presented Solano School’s three‑year improvement framework and highlighted student leadership work and after‑school opportunities supported by a 21st Century grant.
Student council president Laquiv Brunston described expanded after‑school clubs that allow students to explore music, robotics and art. The meeting included a live performance by the Tiger Beach drum club and short student presentations awarding staff for equity, joy, growth, integrity and relationships; winners named in the presentations included Dami Flores (equity), Miss Vaez (joy), Sokhi Chim (growth), Miss Sandoval (integrity) and Amanda Merrill (relationships). Principal Carranza described the administration’s three‑year goals as "stabilize, grow and reach school‑plus excellence" and said the school is on track for its targets.
Board members and staff thanked students, teachers and families for the presentation; the board recessed briefly thereafter and later resumed with district reports.
