Bandera council seeks P&Z applicants, appoints two to EDC

The Bandera City Council authorized a new call for applicants to fill vacancies on the Planning & Zoning (P&Z) board after staff reported the board had not been fully staffed and several terms had expired.
Staff said the last P&Z meeting they could locate was in December 2023 and that several members had vacated or declined to continue. Council moved to advertise and recruit applicants so the commission can be reconstituted; the motion to put out a call for applicants passed 5-0.
Separately the council considered three applications to fill two seats on the Economic Development Corporation (EDC) board. Motions were made to appoint Andrea Jankowski and Jeff Flowers. Both appointments were approved; the motion appointing Jeff Flowers carried with one recorded opposition (Deanna) but the motion still passed.
Staff will publish the P&Z call for applicants and formally seat the new EDC members per their terms.
