Jordan Ferguson, representing the project developer, provided the council with a quarterly update on the Runkel Canyon development. Ferguson said the developer has met two soft milestones since the development-agreement extension and submitted at-risk building plans for senior units and a recreation center; staff has deemed those plans complete and the developer expects comments back before the holidays.
Ferguson said the PD (planned-development) application for the remaining 21 estate lots has been submitted and staff is preparing the invoice for intake. He said all required payments to the city have been completed. Final plans and landscape approvals have been accepted for four initial estate lots (addresses cited in the staff remarks), and developer and staff plan a site visit to address grading comments and create a punch list for maintenance items.
Councilmembers thanked the developer for meeting milestones; one councilmember asked whether the developer needed additional city staff support, and Ferguson said staff assistance is sufficient. Ferguson said the developer hopes to begin construction on the first four estate lots and return with another quarterly update in March.
