Commission approves Bagwell replat to create 16 lots and extend Lynn Street

The Pampa City Commission approved a replat requested by developer Jason Bagwell to subdivide a portion of Briarwood Unit 4 into 16 lots, a change staff said will allow a new street extension and future residential development.
Luke Graber presented the request and said the proposal will change an area now recorded as 12 lots into 16 lots to facilitate a street extension (Lynn Street) and tie the new subdivision into adjacent streets. "Jason Bagwell sent in a request, several weeks ago to replat a portion of the property that he's getting ready to develop, which is exciting for the city of Pampa," Graber said.
Graber said the proposed lots will be about 50 feet wide; he noted that final housing sizes will be determined by builders but must conform to existing setback and zoning regulations. Commissioners asked whether the change would affect neighboring property values; staff said impacts are expected to be neutral or modestly positive as newer housing is introduced.
The motion to approve Bagwell Blessings Lots 1–16, Block A carried by voice vote. Staff said utilities on the east side already exist, and the developer also owns adjacent parcels that could be part of future, phased development.
