Staff urges public to attend Keene master plan 'Future Summit' unveiling

Planning staff told the board that the city will host a 'Future Summit' to unveil the draft master plan, scheduled for tomorrow from 5 to 7 p.m. at Heberden Hall in the library. The event will include a short presentation, activities and opportunities to review draft priorities. Food will be provided, childcare will be available and the Cheshire Children's Museum is running the day care activities, the planner said.
Planner Evan Clements encouraged attendance and said people may register online (registration not required) but that sign-in at the event will record attendance for planning purposes. He said the event will include materials for residents to weigh in on priorities and that staff hopes to use the feedback to sequence future work.
Clements also updated the board on in-progress data collection to support board reporting and noted the city's annual council report is due in July; he said staff will circulate the board data-tracking sheet and offered the option of a board member presenting to City Council.
