The commission briefly discussed operational reporting and emphasized a close working relationship between the elected/charter city clerk and the city manager’s staff on administrative matters. No opposition was raised and the appointment carried unanimously by voice vote.
Staff said several clerk’s-office positions remain to be filled operationally and that recruitment will proceed with a phased onboarding plan.
