County attorney authorized to file enforcement actions on more than 40 nuisance violations

Commissioners discussed logistics and approved the request, asking staff to pull deeds of record to ensure correct service before filing. The attorney said filings will be prioritized by owner and complexity and that the county will seek to recover costs and damages under the nuisance ordinance as part of those actions.
Commissioners thanked sheriff’s staff for supporting enforcement steps and noted the matter has been ongoing for multiple years; they authorized the county attorney to proceed with the filings.
