Bonner County Ambulance Service District adopts agenda and minutes, schedules insurance agreement for Jan. 7 and denies EMS station rumor

The Bonner County Ambulance Service District on Dec. 17 adopted its meeting agenda and approved the Dec. 3 meeting minutes before discussing operational updates and public comment.

Speaker 2 moved to adopt the meeting agenda "as presented," and Speaker 1 seconded; the presiding officer announced the motion carried. The consent agenda — the Ambulance Service District meeting minutes from Dec. 3, 2025 — was subsequently moved, seconded and approved; Speaker 2 asked roll-call questions and affirmative responses from commissioner-level attendees were recorded.

Under miscellaneous business Speaker 4 reported operational updates: "The 10 will be ready to go by the January...the next meeting is January 7," and said an insurance agreement "will need to be signed by the board" and will be placed on the Jan. 7 agenda. Speaker 2 confirmed that staff communication with "Kevin" and with team members about a carrier transition was occurring and recommended that staff advise employees to address prescription refills prior to any change in provider to avoid service interruptions.

During public comment Speaker 2 asked whether the district was "in conversation with anybody in the Southwest Bonner County area to open an EMS station?" Speaker 4 replied, "No," and clarified that none of the agencies in the service district had said anything about such an intent. The board recorded that clarification and adjourned at 11:07 a.m.

The board will consider the insurance agreement and ongoing operational items at its next scheduled meeting on Jan. 7, 2026.
