Council recognizes promotion of Andy Von Volkenberg; introduces K‑9 Rambo and handler Joe Todaro

The meeting also introduced Officer Joe Todaro, who has served with the department since 2020 and was assigned as the police department’s canine handler, and K‑9 Rambo, a two‑year‑old Belgian Malinois/German shepherd mix certified by the North American Working Dog Association for apprehension, narcotics and tracking. Presenters praised Todaro’s dedication and Rambo’s capabilities and invited a public demonstration and a photograph with the mayor.
Council members thanked both officers for their service and noted the extra responsibilities of handler work and community outreach.
