Sellersburg announces holiday events, trash-collection schedule and blood drive

Town staff told the council Tuesday that holiday trash-collection routes will be adjusted (the town will post specifics on social media), and that Friday collection will remain as scheduled while Wednesday/Thursday routes will run as double routes on the listed days. The staff also announced the annual Santa parade will begin Dec. 6 at 1 p.m. with photos with Santa and the Grinch Dec. 6–7 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the park, and confirmed an American Red Cross blood drive is set for Jan. 7.
Staff noted two tornado sirens—one on Allentown Road and one on Perry Crossing Road—installed with Clark County funding are now operational. The town manager said the public should watch for social-media notices about holiday collection and other events.
