The council approved an amendment to the wage and compensation plan at its Oct. 27 meeting to formalize a previously approved planning-department project manager position. City staff said the posting was required to be public for 10 days; no negative comments were received during that period.
City Manager Kurt explained the budgeted number on the table reflects both salary and anticipated benefits for a full year even though only six months of the position will be paid in the current fiscal year. The amendment takes effect Jan. 1, 2026. The council approved the amendment by a 6-0 vote.
Staff will post the position and proceed with recruitment under the approved wage and compensation range.
