The committee considered multiple appointment items and recommended several candidates to the full board.
For the airport board public seat, Chair noted incumbent Cameron Carr was the only applicant; following a motion moved by Behr and supported by Walls, the committee recommended Carr.
For a vacant Jackson County Planning Commission public seat, three applicants were nominated: John Brennan, David Hamentry and Cecilia Croft. The committee ran elimination rounds per procedure and, after the second round of voting, selected John Brennan as the committee recommendation.
Cecilia Croft was separately recommended for the agricultural representative seat on the Jackson County Planning Commission after a motion and a recorded single nay by Bear was noted.
Incumbents James Minnick Jr. (industrial and economic representative) and Ted Hillary (education representative) were the only applicants for their seats and were recommended by the committee to the full board.
All appointment recommendations will be finalized by the full board at its next meeting.
