Key figures: The presenter said 209 runs were completed from dispatch to end of call; 146 of those resulted in local transports to RER, nine were transported to Terre Haute Union Hospital, five patients required helicopter rendezvous at the county helipad and three were transported to Sarah Bush. "The 44 represents anything from we show up and the injury is minor and they feel that they don't need to be transported," the EMS representative said.
Training and community engagement: The EMS report also noted nine classes were held in October, including community-based EMT classes, a high-school EMT class and an emergency medical responder course, totaling 93 students. The speaker listed 10 requests for paramedic-level intercepts and four public-relations events during the month.
