River Oak Chop House renewal approved under Riverfront liquor license program

Emily (Speaker 8) told the council that in July members approved adding two licenses to the Riverfront program to allow a maximum of 12 licenses; as of the meeting, several licenses remained available. The River Oak Chop House application and financial statements were reviewed by the economic and redevelopment department and the mayor’s office, and staff recommended approval.
A council member (Speaker 3) moved to approve the renewal; Speaker 2 seconded. The clerk conducted a roll call and recorded affirmative votes from seated members. Emily said she had the restaurant’s financials available for council members who wanted to review them further.
The renewal was handled as a routine consent/renewal item; the council did not attach special conditions during the meeting.
