Planning board backs initial C-3 zoning for 4301 East U.S. 70 after annexation

The action requested was a consistency statement and recommendation to the Board of Aldermen.
Board members discussed access and whether the property would be served by a service road rather than direct access to Highway 70; staff and board noted that planned development (reference to a future dealership was mentioned in discussion) means the C-3 designation is appropriate for corridor development. A motion to recommend the initial C-3 designation was made, seconded and approved by voice vote; staff will transmit a consistency statement and the recommendation to the Board of Aldermen.
