City staff and board members said the hourly contract will be used only as needed and will aid the planning team during the transition. The contract includes billing rates attached to the schedule and mirrors the city’s existing on-call arrangements for engineering services.
Board members confirmed the contract cap is "up to $50,000." S5 moved to accept the contract agreement for professional services; the motion was seconded and approved by voice vote. The board said the agreement would remain in place until the city completes the hiring process for the senior city planner or until the need for services ends.
The meeting did not include a detailed breakdown of hourly rates in the discussion; staff referenced the attached schedule to the contract for rates.
