The Murfreesboro Planning Commission on Dec. 3 voted to forward a recommendation to City Council to dedicate an electric easement on city-owned property at 2335 Wilkinson Pike to Middle Tennessee Electric.
Planning staff (Mister Anthony) told the commission the easement would permit the existing electric infrastructure on the parcel to be moved south so it would no longer conflict with the city's Wilkinson Pike road-widening project. Staff recommended forwarding approval to City Council subject to staff comments.
A motion to forward the recommendation "subject to all staff comments" passed with unanimous recorded votes from Commissioners Carroll, Prince, Rollins, Wright and Chair Halliburton. The recommendation will go to City Council, which will consider the easement dedication and associated documents.
