Unidentified Speaker 1 noted the county would likely invest about "$2,000,000" in renovations and emphasized the need to get the decision right rather than rushing. Commissioners agreed to form a smaller group to develop a menu of options, gather pricing, and present those options to the full commission. As a result, Unidentified Speaker 2 said items 10 and 11 would be pulled from the agenda and moved forward after further committee work.
The preliminary session was recessed for a five-minute break before the formal session.
