Rachel Gallegos, who had been serving as the board’s vice president, was elected president at the Great Valley School District reorganization meeting after a motion and second. The board’s vote to elect Gallegos was recorded as unanimous (7–0). "I really appreciate it. I'm excited. Let's get to work," Gallegos said after the vote.
The board certified the 2025 election results before administering oaths to newly elected directors: Andrea Rizzo (Region 1), Stacy Khan (Region 1), Lori Sullenberger (Region 2) and Tricia Chasanoff (Region 3). Each new director recited the statutory oath to support the constitutions and discharge the duties of office with fidelity.
Neha Mehta, who served as temporary president earlier in the meeting, was elected vice president by unanimous vote. The board noted Wendy Litsky will remain treasurer (the treasurer’s election is handled separately during the year).
Following the leadership votes, board members confirmed committee chairs and membership for the year. Notable appointments announced include Wendy Litsky as communications chair; Neha Mehta as policy committee chair; Andrea Rizzo as chair of instructional technology and curriculum; and a facilities committee chaired by Becky (membership and one chair confirmation to be finalized). External and liaison roles named included Tricia Chasanoff as legislative representative and Tom Richards and Becky Spies participating in the parent key communicator group.
The board adjourned the organization portion and proceeded to the district’s regular business meeting. The reorganization establishes who will lead agenda-setting, policy review and liaison work across the coming school year.
