The Manchester Township Education Foundation presented $23,983 in mini-grants to teachers across the Manchester Township School District, organizers said during the board meeting.

Rick (presenter) announced awards to multiple schools, naming Ridgeway Elementary School as a recipient of $5,893 and Regional Day School as a recipient of $4,384. Presenters listed teachers who submitted successful applications and invited recipients forward for photos. The foundation’s checks were prepared for the named schools to support instructional supplies and classroom projects.

Unidentified Speaker 4 thanked the foundation and the teachers for their work, saying the funding ‘‘supports our schools with an enormous amount of money for our teachers to get more instructional supplies in their classrooms.’’ The presentation also recognized teachers from Whiting, MTES and the high school; the board and presenters encouraged recipients to document use of funds through classroom activities.

The foundation and school leaders emphasized the grants are intended for direct instructional support. The presentation closed by noting the total amount distributed and thanking both teachers and the Manchester Township Education Foundation for their support.
