The Suffolk City Council on Nov. 5 adopted amendments to Chapter 70 (Solid Waste) of the City Code aimed at clarifying collection authority, container rules and enforcement procedures.
"The purpose is to amend chapter 70, solid waste to the city code to clarify authority collection standards and container regulations," Greg Benton, director of public works, told the council in a presentation that outlined the changes.
