The board also recognized the Campo Verde girls flag-football team (15–1 season) and Coach Brian, who reflected on the program’s two-year history as state champions.
Casey Farnsworth and Gilbert High FFA students were recognized for national competition achievements in Indianapolis (a silver ranking in Meet Evaluation and other awards). The board also acknowledged swim and dive placings from district athletes across schools, and several student-athletes introduced themselves and their events.
Associate Superintendent Bonnie Betts and board members congratulated all students and coaches and invited winners and teams to photos at the dais.
