Faye, representing the policy committee, guided the board through multiple policy actions. The board approved first readings of policy CB (school superintendent), CBI (superintendent evaluation) and CHD (administration in the absence of policy), and recoding of CGC (adult and community education) into the instruction section.

The committee proposed deletion of policies judged redundant or covered elsewhere (CC administrative organization; CE administration councils, cabinets and committees; CCB line and staff relations; CGD state and federal programs administration) and the board approved those deletions unanimously.

For second reading, the board approved a slate that includes BAA (board self-evaluation), DJA (purchasing authority), DB (annual budget), DID (inventories) and DIE (audits) for second reading as presented.

On other business, the board voted to certify the computation and declaration of the referendum vote held Nov. 4, 2025, related to the Central Office building; the motion was approved unanimously. The board also approved an overnight trip for three Hampden Academy students to attend the Jazz All-State Festival at the University of Southern Maine (Jan. 15'17); the motion carried with one abstention (the transcript records an abstention but does not name the member who abstained).
