Board approves consent agenda and hears superintendent’s update on safety partnerships and Raptor rollout

The superintendent provided a safety-focused report highlighting the district’s Safe Schools Week activities and local law-enforcement partnerships. The report named the Elizabethtown Police Department, Hardin County Sheriff’s Office and Radcliffe Police among partners who provide regular coverage and rapid response for district campuses. The superintendent said officers frequently visit lunchrooms and bus arrival points to develop relationships with students and ensure rapid incident response.
The superintendent also announced the district will install Raptor visitor-management software across schools and that training is planned before the system goes live in October. "This month, we are having Raptor technology installed in all of our schools, and that should be up and running, by October," the superintendent said.
Chair told the room the board would have a brief executive session and that no action was expected afterward. The board also reviewed upcoming calendar items, including a working session on Sept. 24, a distinguished alumni luncheon on Sept. 25, fall break and a professional learning day on Oct. 13, with the next regular meetings on Oct. 16.
The consent agenda vote and the safety commitments were informational or procedural; no new policy changes or votes beyond the consent agenda were taken during the meeting.
