Superintendent urges parents to prepare incoming kindergarteners for independence and communication skills

The presenter also noted that if a child has a disability that affects restroom independence, the district will accommodate that student; otherwise, staff emphasized that potty training is an expectation prior to school entry. The district recommended parents begin practicing independence and communication tasks now so children are ready when school begins and registration opens.
District staff offered to provide printed materials to families and asked parents to contact the district office for resources.
