Highlights from the presentation included: • Ridgecrest Elementary Academy for Language, Music and Science: chronic absenteeism ~24.5% (yellow), suspension rate 2.5% (green), ELA (CAASPP) 53.2 (below standard) and mathematics 61.8 (below standard). County and state comparisons were shown for district context. • Wonderful College Prep Academy, Delano: chronic absenteeism orange, suspension red, English‑learner progress green, graduation rate and college/career indicators blue/green; ELA and math were both orange. • Lost Hills campus: several indicators reported but no color for graduation/college rate due to fewer than 30 graduates in 2024–25. • Grow Public School (first year as a countywide charter): only current‑year data are available, so the Dashboard did not assign colors yet. • Central Academy of Arts and Technology (CAT): first Dashboard year showed ELA 11 points above standard and math 37 points below standard; chronic absenteeism 25.8% and suspension 2.2%.
Trustees asked how the county aggregates data (Graham said county figures include all districts and charters reporting to CALPADS) and why some schools lack colors (two years of data or minimum subgroup sizes). The board did not take action on the presentation; Graham said the Dashboard data can inform charter renewal decisions and local continuous‑improvement planning.
What’s next: The county will circulate the slides and staff will continue to use Dashboard data to inform LCAP goals and charter oversight.
