The Town of Danvers trustees opened the meeting with routine approvals and operational updates.
The board voted to approve the minutes from the prior meeting. Trustees then heard the treasurer's report for November: a beginning balance of $712,335.47, income of $1,117.97, no withdrawals or expenses and an ending balance of $713,391.71; trustees moved and voted to accept the report.
The library director reported the first half of the library's state-aid award was received: $37,547.48, with the usual second half expected in early spring. The director also described an on-site fire-alarm malfunction that prompted a brief evacuation with no fire found, a current food drive for the local pantry, arrival of a purchased "huddle pod," and a recent part-time assistant librarian resignation that leaves two part-time assistant openings to be filled using the existing candidate pool.
The director reviewed holiday closure dates and confirmed Sunday hours have resumed, and trustees thanked staff for accommodating a senior-center training session when the senior center's heat failed.
Motions recorded in the meeting: approval of previous minutes and approval of the treasurer's report. The board adjourned at 08:10.
