Del City councilors handled routine city business Dec. 1, approving the Nov. 17 meeting minutes, reappointing two volunteers to the Park and Beautification Commission and adjourning to the Del City Economic Development Authority (DCEDA) to take action on economic-development matters.
The council unanimously approved the minutes from Nov. 17, 2025. The council then voted to reappoint Cynthia Hartwell to the Park and Beautification Commission for a term ending Dec. 1, 2027; colleagues praised her enthusiasm and longtime service. The council also reappointed Floyd Brown to the same commission for a term through Dec. 1, 2027.
Later the council voted to adjourn into DCEDA, where trustees approved consent-docket items including DCEDA minutes and a budget amendment for fiscal year 2025-26. DCEDA recessed into an executive session to discuss confidential economic-development items permitted under Oklahoma law (Title 25, §307(C)(11)); after returning, trustees authorized the trust chair and/or trust manager to endorse any necessary documents discussed in the executive session. All votes recorded in both bodies were unanimous.
During the meeting a resident, Robert Brock of 308 Eagle Drive, commended the council for the monthly big-trash pickup and visible code enforcement, saying the neighborhood 'looks better' and the program 'has helped our neighborhood immensely.' The meeting adjourned after completing DCEDA business.
