Torrington council approves small-cities repair grant, WPCA invoices and tax refunds

At its Dec. 1 meeting the Torrington City Council approved a set of administrative items including a Small Cities emergency repair award, payments for sanitary sewer projects and authorization of tax refunds.
The council voted to approve Small Cities Project #143-PID-58 in the amount of $2,500 for emergency heating repairs. Staff told the council the Small Cities Committee recommended approval and that title and lien information accompanied the request.
Acting as the Water Pollution Control Authority, the council approved two payments to Wright Pierce Engineering: $26,189.89 from Sanitary Sewer Capital for invoice 247490 for the Harris Drive pump station design project and $13,277.17 for invoice 247616 for the Winstead Road main replacement project.
The council also accepted the tax collector's list dated 12/01/2025 and authorized the refunds shown. All motions carried as recorded in the meeting.
