Police staff explained that the system’s mobile in‑car units and field ops subscriptions allow officers to complete reports from the field and reduce time spent returning to the station for paperwork. Nathan Storitz, speaking during the discussion, said the system "allows us to spend a lot more time focusing on public safety than paperwork" and highlighted that configured reporting can be automated and delivered to supervisors.
Council members questioned subscription counts and asked whether the mobile units and field subscriptions are actively used; staff confirmed 30 in‑car units and additional field/agency subscriptions distributed among fire and partner agencies. Councilmembers asked staff to produce periodic reports demonstrating how the system is being used to improve response, identify high‑accident locations and support transparency.
The renewal was approved unanimously. Police staff will proceed with licensing and report configuration tasks to deliver requested statistical reports to council.
