Del City council approves equipment purchases, renews police CAD contract and updates judicial pay; zoning PUD tabled

Del City — The Del City City Council on Dec. 15 completed a series of routine and fiscal actions and set further review for a contested zoning application.
Key approved items included:
- Minutes: Council approved the minutes of the Dec. 1, 2025 regular meeting (unanimous vote).
- HVAC units: Council approved the purchase of four HVAC units to serve the community center and Fire Station No. 2. Staff cited an initial vendor quote of $36,007.44 but later updated the total to $42,022.24 because of equipment changes and refrigerant specification updates; council approved the purchase as presented.
- Dump truck (DEQ grant): Council approved purchasing a dump truck with a total cost of $232,491, with $206,845 to be reimbursed to the city under the DEQ on‑road projects grant. The city’s estimated net outlay is $25,646. Council thanked the city manager for securing the grant funding.
- CentralSquare CAD/RMS renewal: Council renewed the agreement with CentralSquare for the police department’s CAD/RMS through Dec. 14, 2026. The meeting packet lists an annual cost reported in session as $107,517.14. Police staff described operational benefits including mobile in‑car units, improved reporting and CJIS compliance; council approved the renewal unanimously.
- Ordinance No. 1454: Council approved an ordinance amending chapter 12 of the municipal code to update municipal judge and alternate judge honoraria and juvenile municipal judge compensation; council commended the judges for their service.
Votes on recorded motions were unanimous (Councilman Dean, Councilman Brown, Councilman Tatum, Councilwoman Finch and Mayor Eason voting Aye on each recorded item). The council tabled a proposed PUD (PC PUD 668‑25) for nine houses at South Sooner Road/Dale Creek Road to Jan. 20 for a resubmission with dimensioned drawings and circulation changes.
