Kehoe said the accreditation requires outside assessment of operations and commended the sheriff's office for meeting or exceeding the standards. He asked the board and the community to take pride in the accomplishment.
The county sheriff thanked the association and the board, singled out civil-division staff for praise and identified staff members who helped manage the reaccreditation effort, including Dan McGowan and Major Sean Demayo. The sheriff said the accreditation reflects the work of deputies, office administrators and legal staff and pledged continued service to the county.
The presentation was ceremonial and no formal board action was required; the recognition was framed by presenters as validation of local operations against statewide benchmarks.
