The Danvers School Committee used part of its Dec. 8 meeting to recognize student achievements. Principal Strauss introduced Claudia as the school’s National Merit representative and cited her strong academic record, including numerous A and A+ grades and multiple AP courses.
The committee also recognized Ala as the district’s Project 351 eighth-grade ambassador for Holton Richmond, a statewide program that selects an eighth-grade student to participate in a five-year leadership and service network. Principal Calantoni read statements from teachers and classmates that emphasized Ala’s inclusivity, responsibility and leadership.
Committee members applauded both students and took photographs; administrators noted the recognitions as part of broader community engagement and student leadership development.
