Triton committee approves consent agenda, annual reports and minor CTE edits; votes to enter executive session

The Triton Regional School Committee recorded several formal actions at its Dec. 10 meeting:
Consent agenda: The committee considered a consent agenda that included an anonymous donation of musical instruments and instructional books valued at $22,000 to the high school arts department and an overnight/out-of-state/one-day field trip request for Triton High School to visit Southern New Hampshire University on Jan. 13, 2026. A motion to approve the consent agenda was made and seconded. No formal objections were recorded on the public record.
Annual reports (NEC and Crest): The committee moved to receive and file the annual reports for the North Shore consortium (NEC) and Crest Collaborative as presented. The motion was made and seconded and the item was received for the record.
Middle school CTE policy: The previously approved middle-school Career and Technical Education (CTE) policy received minor edits suggested by the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE). A motion to approve those minor tweaks (originating from DESE feedback) was moved and seconded; the chair called for favor with no public dissent noted.
Motion to enter executive session: Before adjourning to executive session, Chair Linda Lukoski moved to enter executive session for two purposes: planning for negotiations with union personnel and reviewing pending litigation against the district, and declared that open discussion would impact the district’s bargaining and litigation positions. The motion to enter executive session was moved and seconded; the committee completed a roll-call vote. Members who were called and recorded their presence and affirmative vote included: Owen (recorded "Yes"), Aaron ("I'm here"/"Yes"), Caitlin (Yes), Paul Goldner (Yes), Paul Lees (Yes), Matthew (Yes), Nerissa (Yes), Paul Maiet (Yes), and Chair Linda Lukoski (Yes). The committee entered executive session and did not return to open session.
