Board Renews Agricultural District No. 12 and Honors Retiring Officials

Delaware County supervisors voted to approve the modification and renewal of Agricultural District Number 12 during their Dec. 10 meeting.
Planning presented Resolution 222, 'Approval of modifications and renewal of Agricultural District Number 12,' describing the district as located in the towns of Deposit, Masonville, Sidney, Tompkins and Walton; the board approved the renewal by voice vote.
Later in the meeting the board recognized several longtime public servants and outgoing supervisors. The chair and other speakers paid extended tribute to Supervisor Bud Gladstone and Supervisor Art Merrill for their years of service, and acknowledged Bev, the county treasurer from 1994 to 2025, for her long tenure. The board welcomed two new board members, Richie Gabriel (town of Banties) and Rob Haffel (town of Colchester), and introduced Carly as the incoming county treasurer. A reception was announced to follow the meeting.
The meeting then closed with seasonal greetings and adjournment.
