- Consent items: The board approved minutes from Sept. 23 (6.01) and a contract extension for a fire alarm control panel replacement (6.03) by unanimous vote; item 6.02 (FY25-26 student nutritional services budgets) was pulled for discussion and then approved.
- Student nutrition budgets (6.02): Project Director Miss Bing presented three special revenue budgets for FY25-26: Summer Food Service Program ($512,000), Richland One after-school dinner program ($1,100,000), and Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program ($38,000). The administration stated a total of $1,600,000; commissioners approved the budgets unanimously. - Academic calendar (8.01, first reading): The board approved Draft B of the 2026-27 academic calendar on first reading; administration reported Draft B received about 62.9% support from survey respondents and that the calendar provides 160 days before testing.
- International trip: The board approved an administration recommendation for a Creighton Middle School field study trip to Germany, Italy and Switzerland (2027); the administration will brief the board on safety/security prior to departure.
- Executive session and personnel: The board entered executive session to discuss personnel and contractual matters and, on returning to public session, approved hiring six teachers for the 2025-26 school year by unanimous vote.
