Multiple department reports provided operational updates and community announcements.
Public Services said striping on Worthington and Barioni remains incomplete while a manhole rehabilitation project continues; ROV Engineering will install temporary tabs to provide interim striping. Engineering staff described encountering undocumented underground utilities during manhole work and warned that additional underground replacements may be needed, which could increase costs and pressure reserves.
Staff said the city expects delivery of a new street sweeper on Dec. 10 and discussed using it in the parade of lights and for post‑event cleanup. The sewer project at the Ayton and SR‑86 intersection has installed a sewer line, and staff estimated pumps could arrive in January with a working pump station possible by February.
Parks staff reported a $50,000 LED upgrade at Freddie White/Emerson ballfields and invited council to a flip‑switch ceremony. Amber Haller recapped a successful library event with about 444 door counts (presenter interpreted as roughly 244 attendees by library counting method) and noted continued community programming. Police Chief introduced Rachel Amador, a reserve officer now hired full time.
Council members thanked staff and were reminded of upcoming events and ceremonies. No formal council action was taken on these reports at the meeting.
