Trustees also discussed allowing teachers to offer after-school programs as a way to supplement their incomes. "I really like the option" for teachers to lead after-school offerings with reduced or free use of space, Unidentified Speaker 2 said, adding the board would explore options over the next month and return with possible policy or procedural recommendations.
No formal policy language or fee schedule was presented at the meeting. Trustees said staff will continue to draft proposals and bring recommendations back to the board, and that any change would need to balance public access, teacher opportunities, and fiscal responsibility.
