No members of the public spoke in favor or opposition. Commissioners moved to recommend approval of the land-use amendment; the commission recommended the rezoning and the chair said the matter will go before the Board of Commissioners next month.
The commission's action is a recommendation to the Board of Commissioners; final authority rests with the board, which was scheduled to consider the rezoning at its next meeting.
